This policy explains how Smith's Taylored Solutions LLC ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects information in OutScouted, including the website and dashboard at outscouted.app and any OutScouted mobile apps (together, the "Service").
The short version: OutScouted is used by coaches. We store your account, the game data needed to build your reports and the reports themselves. We never store your GameChanger password, we do not sell personal information and we do not show ads.
Information we collect
Account information
Your name, email address, membership plan and the team or program you coach. You sign in with an email and password or with Google; if you use Google, we receive the basic profile Google shares (name, email and profile photo). Passwords are held by Firebase Authentication, and we never see them.
Your linked GameChanger account
To link GameChanger, you enter your GameChanger email and password in your OutScouted dashboard. We use them once, on our server, to sign in to GameChanger for you. The password is never stored; it exists only for that one request. We keep only the session tokens GameChanger issues, so we can keep retrieving the games you ask for. Those tokens are stored server-side where no other user can read them, and choosing Disconnect in your dashboard deletes them.
Game and player data
To build a report we retrieve game data for the teams you choose, such as box scores, play-by-play, pitch data, and player names and jersey numbers. This data comes from GameChanger or from game records you provide. We use it only to build reports for you and your staff.
Reports, schedules and requests
The reports you run, your game schedule, report requests, and how many reports your plan has used this season.
Demo requests and support
If you request a demo or email support, we collect your name, email address and whatever you include in your message.
Payments
Membership fees are billed per season. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Usage information
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages visited, browser and device type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
How we use information
- To create your account and to build, store and display your reports.
- To write the plain-English summaries in your reports. We send the compiled game statistics for that report to Anthropic's Claude AI service, which returns the summary text. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
- To email reports to the coaches you choose and to send account notices.
- To manage your membership and track how many reports your plan includes.
- To respond to demo requests and support messages.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and improve it.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use player data for advertising.
About player data
Reports include statistics about players, some of whom may be minors. This information comes from game records already kept by GameChanger or provided by coaches. Reports are visible only to the coach who ran them and anyone they choose to share them with. Players do not use OutScouted, and we do not collect information from them directly. A player, parent or guardian with a concern can email [email protected]; we will review the request and, where appropriate, remove the information.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
Cookies
We use browser storage to keep you signed in and cookies from Google Analytics to measure site usage. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; signing in requires browser storage.
Data security and retention
Data is encrypted in transit and stored on Google Cloud in the United States, which encrypts it at rest. Access rules limit each coach to their own account and reports, and access to production data is limited to the people who run the Service. We keep your account and reports while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, sign-in, linked GameChanger session and reports within 30 days, and copies in backups are removed within 90 days. We keep payment records as required for tax and accounting.
Your choices and rights
- Update your account information by emailing support.
- Disconnect GameChanger at any time from your dashboard.
- Delete your account by following the steps on our account deletion page.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete or port your data. Email us to make a request and we will respond within 30 days.
Children's privacy
OutScouted accounts are for coaches and program staff aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly create accounts for, or collect personal information directly from, children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify users in the Service or by email.
